The photoshoot session has generated me more than a hundred pictures.

Adobe photoshop which is a raster graphic editor was employed in the post-Production phase in order to edit the project.

Multiple tools were employed to edit the pictures, the most significant were:

  • Threshold for the sin city effect
  • Curves to fix the black and white
Camera Raw filter employed to achieve the night/ dark environment by tweaking the temperature and exposure properties.
  • Quick selection and Pen tool in order to select part of the picture.
  • Clone stamp and the brush tool to eliminate unwanted parts of the picture
  • Adjustment layers and smart objects in order to keep the original file
  • Adjustment > Black and white
  • Add Noise

MS4101 Sound Project, Uncategorized

The above pictures were taken in the production phase.
The sound was recorded utilising two different microphones, the Tascam was employed for certain parts of the interview.
The Rode mic  ( shown in the above pictures) was utilised for most of the recordings as it provided a professional sound quality.
The above studio was also employed to edit the Wav. files as the superior sound system (compared to the Mac’s built-in speakers) aided me to identify and eliminate unwanted noise.

The above are raw extracts of our final project. The scenes were recorded with the use of a Go Pro Hero 4. The camera was set to capture a picture every second with a shutter speed set to 50, it took nearly five minutes to obtain ten seconds of video.

Final Cut Pro X was employed in the Post-Production phase to generate the time-lapse effect made by approximately a  thousand pictures that were taken during the recording sessions.

In my opinion, the Time-lapse technique proposed by me has significantly contributed to enhance the quality of our project as I consider it an aesthetically pleasing effect which in a way is also related to the concept of time as it summarises a long action in only a few seconds.
